Come With Me As I Present My Favourite Song

This week's contest just left me so emotional, you may want to wonder why I said am just so emotional with this week's topic. Let's journey together you will get to know more. I will be doing a song which is my all time Favourite song and it's a song by Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir titled "My Help Cometh From The Lord". This song is taken from Psalm 121 from verse 1 to the end.

Let me give you a brief background of how I got to know this verse and the song. After my Junior secondary school examination I was encouraged to go visit my mother's brother who stays in a different location in the same country. Staying with my uncle was fun because I had to interact with my cousins well for the first time. My elder sister I will call her now always seek for a way to keep us busy so she gave us the younger ones an assignment to memorize the passage of the scripture Psalm 121 from verse 1 to the end. Fortunately I was the only one that memorized it from verse one to the end. My sister was very happy with me and she presented me with a gift.

Fast forward to after my senior secondary school my brother was serving at the northern part of my country Gombe State to be precise, he told me to apply for study at the state University and his reason was that admission is cheap there. When I told some of my senior friends I was so discouraged by their response. Some said it's not my catchment area and another woman said "there the sun is too much and people's head use to turn backward for that" later I knew that what she talked about was a sickness called meningitis.

Well I didn't take that advice. At night I went to God in prayer asking him to give me a word that will help my heart and that of my Mom because she was already crying and I felt I was going to die. While praying part of this scripture came afresh to me, I saw it more than the letters, as the scripture says "the letter killeth but the spirit gives life". I was alive and my heart was strong again. Psalm 121 gave me live.

This same life is what I will be sharing with you this morning, I hope you you receive same live as I did. Now, what is that situation that stirs at you and you seem to be confused, go back to God in prayers, acknowledge your weakness and trust him for a word. That word will certainly come and you will know the difference.
