27th June 2023 Was The 8th Day Of The Week For Me.
If there is a way I will totally eliminate sickness or death I will not think twice before doing it. Last week Tuesday and Wednesday especially was like the right day of the week to me because of the terrible things that happened on those two days.
The hospital was meant to be a place people should get treatment rather it has become a place people dread to go to because of the I don't care attitude the hospital attendants and the management exhibits.
Towards evening on the 27th of June 2023 just last week, while I was having some good time with my family we heard this loud noise which was preceded by a shout. I was so confused that I left my family to see what was happening outside on like me. The way the shout came was followed by someone pushing our gate. Fear griped me as I saw one of our friends a pregnant woman crying, while I got to the sign she said a car just knocked my Landlord's daughter down. First I took a deep breath rushed in to pick some money then way ended at the general hospital.
The accident was so terrible that the little girl leg was broken, she had a serious tire and was left unconscious, well I couldn't cry. While on my way to the hospital I called the elder sister and she said there was no doctor to attend to them.
For more than 15 minutes this girl's was left unattended to, before I got there the attendants was just trying to fix up the tire and clean her up. To my amazement, I left the hospital few minutes before 10 PM and the doctor was no where to be found.
Ok, when the father returned around 11PM he took the vehicle that the situation was becoming worse and the need to remove some mocos from her system. Do you know the equipments that they needed to work with was just locked up in a store.
This girl was just left unattended to till that time of the night. While she was moved to a private hospital where they can access the mocos extractor and just as the doctors on the machine to begin his work she vomited and that was all.
When the father came home and told that the girl has gone I was so shocked and couldn't hide my tears any longer. PRAISE is gone. This little girl of 5 years and half just died because of share carelessness.
Today makes it one week that the body was lead to rest even as am making this post it's so fresh in my mind. Infact I stilla remember how she use to come into my house to play with my children and all those children attitude. Hmmmm, it has happened and if only tears can bring back the dead PRAISE would have returned.
The hospital people here gets little or no care from the government own hospitals, so if one don't have money for the private hospital his own is gone. The kind of careless attitude this people exhibits it's so terrible. Well,I hope things become better in the near future.
Hope your own situation was not so terrible as mine? Let's get to connect more in the comment section. Thank you for visiting my blog today as this is my entry for the hive learner's contest week 69 edition 2. Bye for now
This experience you shared just reminded me of a discussion I had with a friend last week. He's a practicing doctor and he clearly told me that what we should be praying for in Nigeria is for us to never get sick because once we become sick, the chances of getting quality medical attention is always low.
It's so sad that something like this is happening in the country but the worst part of all this is that nothing is being done to set things straight.
The death you talked about is still very fresh and I just hope the family of the lady would find ways to console each other.
Can you imagine the decadence in the system. I pray for sound health for all.
Thanks for coming around
The system is really messed up. We already know that things are not going the way they're supposed to be, but when the same thing plays out in the health sector, it raises a lot of questions.
Oh poor girl!
She had to leave her life on earth because of annoying hospitals ways.
It's no more a surprise to me how patients are being neglected in the hospital simply because they don't know who and who or have money to flaunt around for them to get attention.
I had a bad experience with the hospital too but this one you shared is more painful really!
My dear, it's so painful and fresh.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Are you still on call?🤪🤪🤪🤪
Haha no o
Totally forgot after the call, it took a longer time than I expected 😅
No challenge dear
Hmmm.. such a sad story!
I really cannot explain why hospitals act this way despite the criticality of a health condition. Sometimes they will require you to settle bills before they commence treatment no matter how detrimental the situation is. Well I won't totally justify the patients side but I wish something can be done to minimize their nonchalant attitudes when it comes to sick people. Once a life is lost it cannot be regain but their money can still get to them.. it's tragedy that Praise story ended up a sad one as such... It is well..!
My dear the death of this girl left a wound in my heart. You should know her, always keeping the compound warm with her talks but the story is different now.
Thanks for coming around dear.
