Posting nonsense in Social Media.
I've noticed that many people on Hive have zero tolerance for shit posting many do in attempts to game the system and get rewarded.
I have never seen so many dislikes in a social media platform I've ever used like I've see on this one. However, I don't blame those disliking what many are posting. I am more inclined in blaming the people posting.
Many people are not posting their own words nor idea, but copying word for word verbatim whatever someone else said on the internet. Or posting images taken from the internet, using someone else's words & getting rewarded for that.
I've seen some really bad posts getting major SME rewards which makes no sense. Sometimes I want to downvote them but two reasons do not allow me to make a practice of this.
I don't want to make enemies.
I don't want my reputation to go down.
But people need to know that valuable information is what people need. How do images in the internet of birds in a tree, or the Sun Raising or Dawning help anyone? How could people seeing those things get value from that?
It is not the same to post pictures of nature and birds in trees than posting information on how to combat cancer and prevent it. Combating something like cancer for example is far more valuable to a reader than birds in a tree.
It is not very hard to post valuable content. We share value with many people we see in person day in and day out. Why is it so hard for us to transmit that value in writing when posting here?
