These individuals being Spoken of Historically said they were "Jews" but were really not. History shows that many Rich Ethnic Jews betrayed Jews that believed in Jesus, slandered them and turned them into the Roman Authorities. These were those that said they were Jews but lied, instead were synagogues of Satan.
Revelation 2:8-9 describes the occurrence in Smyrna and Rev 3:7-9 describes the same occurrence in the Church of Philadelphia and what the fate would be of those that called themselves "Jews," but were not.
Nothing wrong with being Jewish, those who commit crimes against the world even if they are ethnically Jewish they are not considered Jewish. Take a look at the following text.
Roman 2:28 A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical.
Romans 2:29 No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God.
So, it is quite clear from New Covenant teachings that Genealogy is not what makes you a Jew, but a Circumcised Heart does make you a Jew!
