COURT CASE? HMMM JUST READ THROUGH...
It's been a great week and I am so happy to bring forth my last edition for this week's engagement. Special thanks to the entire management of this beautiful community for their efforts in sustaining the vision of this community. I celebrate all the participants for their role in keeping this platform busy. When you are blessed with good parent, they even become your friend because of the kind of relationship that they showed on their children. I had the privilege to pick lots of positive things from my parents. As a growing child, I have never seen them having clash with someone such that it ended up in court. This became a template for me to live in peace as much as I can with people.
I have never sue someone and I pray not to do so because of the kind of experience some had and shared with me. I could not picture any cogent reason to establish a case and sue such an individual. Is not as if people don't cross my part negatively but I always find a way which is always positive to resolve such conflict. Conflict is bound to happen as long as we are here on earth but gow we handle it really matters a lot. In this post, I would share my perspective and secrets on how I resolve conflicts and never allow it to linger for a while. And I will like to share some of other people's experiences perhaps it could encourage someone.
I have an uncle that you can't touch his things and just go back like that. He can go to any extend to drag over the issue of land. You know here in the middle belt part of Nigeria land case is not a small matter to some people. This uncle shares a boundary with another person. He happened to be the first to build around that axis. He left some little portions at the other side. This man only step in small and my uncle went and brought a long tape to measure the accurate portion left. The man begged him but he refused and became furious. The case projected to a higher ground finally. I didn't like the way my uncle took the case with his neighbour. I expected him to be calm and allow him to at least use it.
There was another dispute that happened in my village between two families because of land encroachment. Infact it lingered for more than ten years now. The annoying part is that some of them died in the course of the case yet no any conclusion established. The court presently doesn't know how to terminate the case yet but I pray they will find a way to sort out this.
How to resolve conflicts
There could be different ways but I want to share this that has really been pivotal in my life.
- We see differently and draw our conclusions differently as well. Therefore we need to create space in our hearts to accommodate each other. I deliberately try to tolerate people based on their different backgrounds.
- I can't pick everything in the world. I try to manage what I have and what God provides.
- It may hurt a lot but learn to let go so that you won't be depressed.
Thanks so much for visiting and all comments appreciated.
Land disputes are very serious in our parts of the word. I read somewhere a few weeks ago about how a military man got shot in his car over a land dispute.
Shit!!!! That's serious. Hmmm I don't like that at all.
Its best to avoid such disputes cos you know some of our people.😂
Infact some are very diabolical... thanks for sharing
Staying away from land dispute is so tempting especially if you are on your right but this has lead many into several trouble.
It's very true
Keep up your great work!
Thanks so much
This is seen all around us and in our families at present. The main cause of family conflict is land tenure. which is inherited from parents. He is facing a lot of problems with property. And the brothers are suing each other. Which is affecting the people of the world more.
What you stressed is actually true.
Dialogue too, is another way of resolving conflicts. Have a discussion and we reach an agreement, suing someone is really draining.
Oh yes this is also profound. Thanks so much
We can think of suing someone for slander or libel against us, but first we must calm down and try to mediate. Here, people with the support of a Mediator, can communicate and negotiate, to find in an amicable and satisfactory way the legal solution to their Civil-Commercial or Family problem. This is 100% applicable to land problems.
Wow that's great. Thanks so much for that wonderful input
