...AND HE CAME LIKE ANGEL

Source

In response to week 73 edition 2 prompt which focuses on cheat however I decided to title it in my own way based on the kind of experience I ever had.

what does cheating means?

Cheating is an act of dishonesty or being unfair to an individual in order to have advantage over another person. Many cheat because of their ego and personal benefits at the detriment of the other. Nothing bothers you as long as your appetite is satisfied.
What makes people cheat include low self-esteem, pride, greed, prejudice etc

My personal experience about cheating.

Immediately I saw this Edition's prompt and the topic, this incidence I'm about to share was what came to my heart. There was this young man when I was in the higher institution. I had the privilege to be a leader in a particular fellowship and fortunately the young man was in the service that evening.
After the ministration, this young man came and met me with such a courtesy that really melted my heart.

He started hailing me and all manner of accolades just to grant him an enabling environment to access that which he wants. My guy says I should give him some amount of money to help him sought some urgent need that he'll return it in few weeks time. As an act of benevolence, I never hesitated instead I willingly gave him the exact amount of money.
Hmmmm I never knew that he had a different motive and he has been playing such kind of games with other people.
Till as I am writing now, he hasn't called neither checked on me for complaint. Anytime I called him, he will say I will come and see you. He appeared to be like an angel to me with swift voice but he was a cheat. Report had it that he has cheated so many people.

Another experience i had was when I was preparing for my wedding, there were so many need to settle hence I needed money. I was going through my chat history on WhatsApp suddenly I saw a platform that if I invest in less than one hour I'll get double of my investment. It looks promising and enticing since I desperately need money.

Immediately I transferred an amount to the said bank account number, I started having issue with phone number. In fact the number wasn't connecting. I started looking at all the cardinal points left and right hmmm see the little money I had that could help me greatly but the fraudster took advantage and cheated me and I yielded because of greed.

How did I get rid of the past?

  • The first thing I did was to forgive all of them so that my heart would be delivered from such hurt.
  • I told myself don't be greedy and selfish again. Don't rush into a financial scheme without adequate knowledge and inspection of website. Make enquiries from others to ascertain the genuineness of any business.
  • Don't see some one for the first time and throw your heart to such because you attend similar fellowship. Time is the revealer of every true identity or character of an individual.
  • I have to be optimistic concerning the future though I had been cheated before.

I like your definition of cheating, most people that cheats do that just for their selfish interest.

I just imagine how this guy was hailing you just to get something from you. Satisfaction as you mentioned will help us stay clear of these cheats.

Thanks for sharing and I do wish you well

Abeg echo it again. Cheating is gradually becoming a conventional thing.
Thanks for such input

When someone cheats on us we feel sad but it's true too that we learn many things from which we suffer.

Everything in life happens for a reason and basically for one to learn.

Thanks for this insight

Things happen, and u till they happen to us, many would not learn a lesson. Good thing you were able to get over them. It's well

Some debtors are unbelievably weird. They come begging for help with such a soothing and jovial voice. They make promises but once they get what they want, they disappear and act as if they have no knowledge of borrowing from you.

It's a very bad character to have.

You really buttress my mind. May God grant us high spirit of discernment to know the evil ones.
