The Parrot 🦜

The reference I used for this piece was an half faced parrot and I loved the colours on its body and feathers so much that I considered breaking out my coloured pencils on this piece. A friend who saw me while drawing it too suggested same but I felt the representation was whole in itself.

I think though that if I’d taken up my pencil earlier to start the work I might have considered the colours without question but when I started this piece, the Sun was already taking its exit. I might take up this work some time in the future though so watch out….
