Splinterlands Art Contest Week 337; Contessa L’ament

The personality of Contessa has for long been pulling me close but I haven’t had proper time to thoroughly examine and explore her person. Late last week I did some touch ups and was able to arrive at something close to her. One of the decisions I felt was crucial was whether to draw a mask on her or to leave her face bare. After I had resolved this, the process went smoothly. At some point though I had to rearrange the lineart I had earlier drawn.

One challenge I faced was the background. This time there were no ideas coming and I didn’t want to leave this beauty bare so I did a little touch up behind her. You can easily notice the table in front of her, the table is supposed to be the tool on which she keeps the skulls the things she has acquired.
