Splinterlands Art Contest Week 334; Queen of Crows

Greetings my friends, I bring to you one beautiful piece which I am personally took my time on. This week has been welcoming so far and I love how I have enough time to do my sketches and explore new territories. What inspired this piece was a digital sketch I found of a young girl and an Owl. Apparently the Owl was resting on her shoulder. After spotting this, the image of the Queen of Crows crossed my mind and I had every intention of drawing the Crow (🐦‍⬛ in this case) on her shoulder but for diversity sake and the fact that I wanted to see how well I could improvise I took a cheap shot at the subject.

You see this little make up around the Queen and the background behind her, these things give me a high level of satisfaction. As you well know, I have always had trouble coming up with backgrounds after drawing but this time, it flowed naturally. I am very excited.
The only thing I would change now upon reflection is removing the lineart marks. I know very well that if I do, she would look more realistic. But that aside, I love the outcome.
