Splinterlands Art Contest Week 293; Axe Master

You see this little scene I improvised was totally not what I planned. I had earlier seen a tight-knit Samurai guy shirtless with his muscles and general physique properly spelt out with the contrasts used by the artist. Immediately I was drawn to it and drew a lineart that had the features of the Axe Master (his clothing and axe).

When I was done with the effects I wanted to apply, I noticed there was a need to have a contender since I didn't properly draw his face. The first thing I tried was drawing a leopard but I hot the proportion very wrong and the head of the beast was massive so after taking a second look, I concluded a darkly shaded Samurai too would do so I used tge second drawing to cover the mistake of the beast.

These two figures are supposed to be the main focus of my sketch so please forgive me if I got the background wrong, I just wasn't too invested in it at the time but now I see my folly.
