Splinterlands Art Contest Week 267! Mischievous Mermaid

When first I started participating in the Splinterlands contest, one of the cards I got and planned on drawing one day was that of the Mischievous Mermaid. The morale she enacts and fixed gaze on her goal as though to destroy anything that stands in her way somehow reminded me of my younger self.

In making this painting, I went through the same crisis as I've been with the other characters I painted and eventually removed the lineart to make it pass as 3D for the inexperienced eye. There were many corrections I had to make to the previous layers which were really flawed.

I tried maintaining the originality of the character the best I could without so much as adding the obvious time and time again.
