My Graphite Portrait: 'Put on a Smile'
There was a time when I was very keen on details and made sure I represented every speck on my subjects' face properly. But then with time, after learning about expression, that idea began to fade and I only represented what I felt was necessary.
Onw downside to this was that I lost my ability to infuse depth as my mind didn't even think of it atimes till my drawings were over. In order to remedy this, my brother suggested I did a series of drawings whose references he handpicked personally.
And now to some extent even though I haven't fully gotten back to my original point, I believe strongly that i have made substantial improvement.
When first I saw the photo for this drawing, I was drawn to it because of the broad smile (which I didn't properly express). To some extent even, the smile was kind of creepy....lol.
the process....
Thanks for the visit friends, do have a lovely week.
Nicely made, I like the way you have done the shading part.
Thanks, I did spend some time on it.
