My Graphite Portrait of Leonard Cohen

When first I knew Leonard Cohen, it was from Exotica (1994) where his song 'Everybody Knows' was played at the end (I think as the closing remark). I was so trapped by the vicious and truthful lyrics and the crawling instrumentals. Cohen just has his way of sending cryptic messages and calling it music.

Some two years ago, I heard his 2016 'You Want it Darker' in a movie and that feeling I felt many years ago came back. I went in search of his songs and now I'm a true fan.
My favorite though is 'What Happens to the Heart'.
In this song he was so certain as I am now that there was only one way things could go and that the flood, would always overcome the ark save when you admit this and just go with the current.

I made this drawing a while ago and even then, I couldn't help but marvel.
I just love Cohen......
