My Digital Painting of Apu and his Wife Manjula Nahasapeemapetilon

When I first started this Simpson weekly upload, I used a painting of Artie Ziff. The funny thing is, right before making that painting, I'd made this one of Apu and his wife.
But decided to hold on to it.

What drew my attention to him was when (about a week before then) I was seeing some episodes with a little friend and noticed Apu wasn't there for an entire season. So I went online and found that his character was cancelled. It's actually sad how this generation misunderstands drama and comedy. What we seem to miss is that, comedy is only degrading when infact you know that the person is after you in particular and doesn't/wouldn't give it up if you ask in person, offstage. And that aside, to many extent, comedy is painful. To one party it is and to the other, it's joy.

Myself being a fan of the show have come to respect the personality of Apu, oftentimes, he is shown as a selfish hag and other times, a caring husband and an active member of the community.
Which speaks a lot for him. The only times, I pitied was when his wife sent him packing and when he had octuplets.... 😂

This painting captures his gentle and loving side,the one every women loves to see in her man. Do feel free to drop your comments, I'd be more than happy to reply them...
