There was once a time when oldie portraits was a frequent on my blog. The details on their faces tell a supposed story, one that you can’t easily deny. Every mark, every wrinkle is an untold, unscripted adventure.

What drew me to this particular person was her outfit and the way she looked. She was dressed like someone from my Mothers’ ethnic group going for a party which tell call in their tongue ”Owambe”. The literal translation to English is nonsensical so I won’t bother you with it but those who know can easily relate.

The outfit she wore here was improvised and I must say that to a small extent that I am proud of it.

Great, and thanks for sharing the step-by-step instructions. It really helps me understand how light, shadow, and shapes are created. I think it's an excellent post. My thanks and best regards.
