Writing a Poem || Prompt

It's been a while I wrote a poem, I use to write poems on a regular basis. It improves my writing and makes my writing straight forward. I will try out a short poem.

Here they are,
Thick and thin,
Looking for more,
Hoping for the best,
How much do they know?
Ignore folks.
Sitting idle,
Aiming helpless,
Time is of essence,
I guess they forgot,
Much work is calling,
Yet they linger,
Lazy men,
Evading work,
What's left for us?
We are on our own,
Every man for himself,
Alas, I go.
Alas, I rest.
