Evidence is very important, it's availability can be your saving grace or your condemnation.
This is why someone needs to be careful with what they are doing.
The scenario I am painting is in two ways, when someone is the condemned and when you are condemning someone else.

When you are condemned, the evidence is against you. So you will want to avoid a discriminating evidence, so as not to be condemned.
But when you are condemning someone else, the evidence is against the other party. And you will hope the evidence is condemning enough to see the case through.

Not finding evidence is not good for any case because evidence serves as a proof to support your claims. So, the evidence has to be found for the case to progress.
