Everyday we get News about things happening in the world.
Infact, some news agency have what they call gossip column, where they give update on rumours and gist.
There will always be news and more news, that is why we have breaking news.

It's been a while I have listened to the news because I find it depressing.
Most of the things broadcasted are bad news, which can bring down one's courage and hope.
I'm not scared of listening to it, it is that most of these situations turnaround for the better eventually.
So most of the panic caused earlier was of no use.
