Just One More Layer || Prompt
I have been in a position where I have to place things by layers.
So, I arranged them layer by layer.
At some point, I could not ascertain when to stop.
So I keep pushing it layer by layer, meanwhile I am keeping watch so that it would not be overwhelming and thereby crash.
I am not in a hurry to heap the pile.
One layer at a time was enough for me.
The drill was simple, you get paid per the pile you make.
That is, the more the pile, the more your pay.
Those in a hurry to fill the pile ended up making a mess, they destroyed the pile.
They now have to pay for damages.
It's a tricky one though.
You want to fill your pile but you are careful not to overload the pile to breakage.
This is why I worked one layer at a time.
When I wanted to stop because of breakage, I tell myself; just one more layer.
Just one more layer keeps going on and on.
I guess it never ends...

We build our lives layer by layer. Rush it, and the whole stack comes down. Patience holds it up. The hard part isn't adding another layer. It's knowing when to stop. 'Cause that "just one more" can be growth… or a trap that never ends.
Good words.
