Receipt serve as an evidence of payment. I have been saved from fraud by a receipt before, and funny enough I did not want to collect the receipt from the trader for the phone i bought from him because I knew him and also because he stayed in the same neighborhood with me. But thank God he forced me to collect the receipt, I would have been categorized as a criminal if not for the receipt standing as an evidence of payment.

I got the receipt from him and kept it safe for future reference. I learnt a valuable lesson on the importance of issuing receipts and collecting the receipt for future reference.
