Dry Rain...

I know for certain that rain is always wet, atleast it is made of water but the concept of a dry rain is surprising to me. I assumed it was a figure of speech like an oxymoron (I still think it is a figure of speech), but going online and finding a definition of dry rain, I think it is a thing these days. You know how science can be, always evolving with ideas not known before.

So, this is the definition of dry rain I saw online, I am still trying to make a meaning of it since I saw it.

Dry rain, or "Virga" is a weather related phenomenon that occurs when precipitation evaporates before it hits the ground. It is often visually striking and looks like a torn drape hanging from a cloud giving the appearance that it is raining somewhere in the distance. Link

The above definition has been used as a concept for a movie back in 2008, but I still think the best use of this concept is a figurative expression and oxymoron to be precise.
