Some folks are very rigid, you cannot appeal to them lightly.
They have a good side and a bad side.
So you have to appeal to their good side, this sounds terrible for anybody but it is true. I have seen people like this before.
Until you appeal to their good side, they'll continue to hold things against you.

Appeal is a strong word with great benefits because after the appeal, things should go back to normal I suppose. I think appealing should be done in a good conscience, whether they deserve it or not. Simply appeal to them.
