A Vat of Wine is a large storage of vine, maybe for fermentation or just storage. It is usually stored in large quantity, probably in a large container. The capacity of the wine is a big one.

I think I have seen a wine vat before in movies. After production, they leave the wine in the vat. I use to wonder why they do that, it really takes time before they extract the wine.

A wine vat is mostly used by the manufacturer of the product, it has no business with the day to day traders. With the capacity of the wine vat, it will be very expensive.
