A Short Story!
This is an interesting prompt because it involves one of my favorites, a story. But I will like to define story first to make the writing interesting and understandable.
A narrative about people and events, usually including an interesting plot, is a story. A story can be fictional or true, and it can be written, read aloud, or made up on the spot. Journalists write stories for newspapers, and gossips spread stories that may or may not be true. Link
One of the things I love about a story is that it can hide it's meaning in the words used. It usually takes an intelligent listener to derive the meaning or morals of the story.
So, stories whether long or short can convey the same meaning, it just depends on the choice of the writer.
I see people that take story for granted, some don't even realize it is usually imbedded with meaning, they just go with the flow.
Stories are good, whether long or short. Maybe one of these days, I will tell you a short story.
