Even though January is just coming
to an end, this year got off to a positive start. Within this period, I have been able to reflect on my life, assess my progress, and realize that I had improved more than the previous year

One of the best things about the year so far is seeing personal development and advancement. This is evident in several aspects of life, including:

Professional Growth: As the year progresses, I have the opportunity to grow in my line of work, advance, and learn more, I accept more responsibility and still accomplish the goals I set for myself for the year. This feels fulfilled and accomplished as a result of this advancement.

Personal Development: Every day is an opportunity for me to improve myself and acquire new skills and better qualities. I've been learning new recipes to improve my cooking skills, and I'm also becoming physically fit and building stronger relationships with others, personal growth is a fulfilling experience for me.

Overcoming Obstacles: Getting through the year has given me the ability to confront and conquer obstacles of any kind. Overcoming challenges gives me resilience, problem-solving skills, and a sense of confidence in my achievements.

One of the bad experiences I can never forget that happened this year is my family pressure, what is wrong with African parents and marriage, they all believe they can pressure their children to go and marry when they finish school, and this is getting to me and is making me uncomfortable.

They all believe that spouses are like mannequins that you can buy in any shop and then start up your life with them, this is making me lose focus and makes me avoid some calls to avoid irrelevant discussions.

Last week I was at work when I saw my mother's call, I rushed to pick up the call and thought she was going to pray for me as usual, but the first question she asked me was when am I getting married, my morale was low and I was so devastated for the rest of the day, I believe this is a decision that is best known to me and I am in the right position to know when to introduce the right man to them but this pressure is getting to me and this is making me sad.

This is one of the bad experiences I got from my family It hurt me so much and left a scar in my heart.
