The Alien

It's Valentines Day and ironically for the most part of the day I didn't only feel but was lonely. There was no way to quench this sadly, no cure in sight so I did what I knew how to do best, DRAW
The alien you see below is actually a sketch by an artist which I thought portrayed what I was feeling at the moment. I followed the drawing closely but made sure to change some things like the horn and I also skipped a hand and waistline.
This piece did come in handy and at some point I lost touch with the right proportion because of the little changes I was making to the sketch but after following it for a while consistently, I arrived at an interesting result.

The process this time is quite slow because the subject is established already I only had to morph some things and in doing this I took my time.

I added the horns, changed it a bit into those of a domestic cow. I agree the proportion might not be accurate but ...

Furthermore I extended the drawing by stretching the arms of the subject.

finishing the arm and keeping it simple I went on..

...to touching up the piece adding and layering shades I felt were missing or flat.

This is the final piece after the whole process is complete.

The materials I used while making this sketch are blue (for the major parts of the sketch) black (for the little spots in the eye) and red (for the eye ball mixed with black) pens from two brands: BIC and SCHNEIDER

You are more than welcome to stop by. I promise to always keep you entertained with my art.
