BLOOD MAKER
This past month in which I haven't been active has been a lot. First I got a new place to stay but sadly just before I moved, my partner left me. With what I gather, she probably thinks I'm not a big shot and I don't blame her. I therefore took some time working on myself and still am. I actually had made this drawing for weeks now but my demoralized self couldn't find the courage to share it with you. Well, I'm here for good now.
There was a simple digital lineart I found on the net some while ago and it caught my attention. The face looked familiar but I couldn't place a name to it no matter how hard I tried to recollect. I therefore decided to adapt this face to the Blood Maker and directly above is the final result.
Just as I usually do, I started the sketch with my blue pen. Mapping out the features of the Blood Maker from my dictator reference.
I then proceeded to use my black pen and shade out areas that needed reinforcements
I continued the lineart following due process...
after going round, everything began to fall in place.
Since the lineart has been reaffirmed, all that's left is the coloring. I did the hair mostly since the card character originally wore white and wouldn't need any correction or support in that regard.
Everything was ready at this point and I called it a wrap.
The materials I used while making this sketch are blue, black and red pens from two brands: BIC and SCHNEIDER
