On top of the mountain



Driving from the direction of Serbia over the Romanija mountain, you approach #Sarajevo.

Sarajevo is the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina and is surrounded by several mountain ranges.

Jahorina, Bjelasnica, Igman, Trebevic... As the host of the Winter Olympic Games in 1984, those mountains in Sarajevo represented excellent locations for various disciplines. Jahorina, with its famous ski trails, is one of those localities.

Wanting to get to know Jahorina and its surroundings better, I rented an apartment and spent a few days on that mountain.

I walked along the mountain paths, enjoyed the view of the nearby mountain peaks, rode the cable car (gondola), rode the mountain bobsled...

And to top it off, one day I climbed the highest peak of the mountain Jahorina #Ogorjelica, which is located at an altitude of 1916m .

Considering that I live in a city that is 100m above sea level, I still managed that climb easily.

And at the top, enjoying the view towards the horizon and the clean air.
