Manarola - a hidden gem (Cinque Terre National Park, Italy)
Cinque Terre, or five lands in translation, represents a group of miniature towns (villages) on the northern part of the coast of Italy, along the coast of the Ligurian Sea, between Genoa and Pisa.
The five fairytale villages that make up the Cinque Terre are: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare.
As we decided to visit the Cinque terre on the day we visited Pisa, we had to decide in advance only one place to visit.
The decision fell on Manarola, since the pictures of Manarola, which we saw on the Internet, were the most promising.
We drove to La Spezia train station, where we left the car in the parking lot and bought tickets for the train, which runs on a line that passes through all five villages.
We disembarked in the second place in line, Manarola.
Welcome to Paradise
It turned out that we were not wrong in our choice.
The beautiful view of the open sea on one side or the beautiful fishing village on the other left a wonderful impression on us.
Narrow streets and small squares evoke life in ancient times in this fishing village, when it was not visited by thousands of tourists a day.
After walking through the narrow streets, through the cascading gardens above the city where there are the most beautiful vantage points and positions for photography, we visited the main cathedral in the center of Manarola.
At the end we went down to the sea, where individuals took the opportunity to get their feet wet in the sea water.
I wasn't in the mood to get wet, so I took advantage of the beautiful view of the open sea for a photo shoot, and then climbed up the rock for a winning photo.
The weather started to deteriorate, so we left a little earlier than we had planned, with the promise we made to ourselves, that next time we will allocate a lot more time for this gem of natural beauty and architecture on the Italian coast.
Thank you for stopping by my post and I hope you enjoyed the photos and the story I shared with you.

Wow, how amazing these buildings look in that tiny space. With such beautiful scenery like that, it makes sense that many people would want to live there. I hope you enjoyed your walk, you made a good choice. Greetings from Argentina ❤️.
Greetings to all Argentines 🙂
The narrow streets of Manarola are interesting, but I was most impressed by the view of the city, sea and cliffs from the surrounding cascade terraces.
Do you see the picture where I'm sitting on the bench? I barely agreed to leave the bench, the company had to convice me with an offer for an original Italian cappuccino in a nearby cafe😀
Otherwise I would have sat on that bench with a view of the beautiful town and the open sea until dark.

Those narrow streets with the surrounding colorful houses look nice! Nice for a day trip, just walking around the town.
Yeah, it's a charming village
Thank you for stopping by my story about a fairy tale village.
I only had time to visit one of the five.
And it was worth it.
Next time, I plan a longer stay.
That's something i agree, it's come back having more to explore.
I'm glad you liked these lovely colors. It looks even more impressive in live.
A walk through the narrow streets, a view of the open sea, a coffee in a cafe on the terrace... Then on the train, to the next village... And so five times... That's the plan for the next Cinque terre tour
Amazing. I would like to visit this place and your post make me go even more!
!luv
If you have the opportunity, definitely. You wont regret. Choose a nice, sunny day and enjoy.

I visit Italy and know that i wanna visit more places as possible. beautiful country.
happy holidays!! 🎁
Italy has so many locations to see, that even six months of vacation would not be enough 😀
Also, happy holidays to you 🙂
Wow. That's a very nice place to relax with our loved ones. Tranquil environment adds peace of mind as an individual stay on that beautiful place.
One hour on a bench with a view of the town and the sea, more valuable and means more than some of the most expensive therapy 🙂
Amazing post and amazing photos, looks like you really had a lot of fun there .
It's easy to make a post like this when you've already taken photos like this 🙂
What is a little more difficult is getting to this location.
You go by train, according to the schedule, and the trains are crowded...
