Cold spring water



On the way to our vacation destination, while passing through Macedonia, we decided to visit #Ohrid, a city on Lake Ohrid, located on the border between Macedonia and Albania.

Since the lake is almost 30 km long and has an average depth of about 280 meters, it is classified as one of the largest lakes in Europe.

Lake Ohrid is filled with clear water from over a hundred springs, which ensure the transparency of the water up to 22 meters deep.

And one of the most famous springs is Biljana's springs. There are numerous legends surrounding the origin of the Biljana springs, and they are sung in the Old Town song: "Biljana platno belese", which was the anthem of the Ohrid lake.

The restaurant near the spring in the shade of the trees, with the refreshment that comes from the cold water, is a great place to enjoy on a warm summer day.
