Three Games, Three Tracks - Pt. 30
Part 30 is here! One of the most legendary blog series of all time has returned, indeed. HA, just kidding of course. I do enjoy creating these though, I should probably stop being so lazy and do these more often. It would be fun to add some variety to my book blogs. Something to think about. It does feel nice to have 30 of these under my belt!
These gifs were hard to actually get posted properly for whatever reason. I made it work though. Technology makes me want to scream sometimes. I had to get different apps to communicate, get files to convert, get uploads to upload correctly, it was a bit of a mess but ya know, that's life at times. A lot of scrambling and making messes look pretty.
But yes as I said, these Three Games, Three Tracks posts allow me to accomplish several things at once and it's a pretty satisfying feeling. I get to rant and ramble, share some moments of time where I saw victory at chess, share some music, and share a random YouTube video I enjoy. I am on YouTube enough, may as well share a bit of what I watch from time to time. These blogs are just a nice variety piece of content.
It's quite hilarious how humbling chess often is. It's quite hilarious how much I am NOT improving. Ugh, I did have a winning streak the other day. Followed by a losing streak. I need to be less scared of losing and sort of keep experimenting and think outside the box. Again, I guess I could take the time out and learn more moves, openings, and tactics but I'm enjoying the challenge, the mental exercise/battle. The challenge of contemplating and weighing options. That's it pretty much. Victory tastes sweet, losses stink but again that's life I guess. Chess is beautifully strange, just like life.
The world continues to be strange these days. Wars happening, fraud all over the U.S. which is maddening. I watch these videos of made up businesses, frankly just abusing the system. There's really no fairness in this life it seems. The world is a dirty, shady place. It feels designed to prey upon the good, in some twisted economy. Life feels like a giant pyramid scheme of selfishness and manipulation.
This is why I just turn to books, and chess and blogging as much as I can. Hive isn't perfect but it's fun at times, and undeniably interesting.
I've also been more heavily brainstorming writing my own fantasy series. Re-reading these classics gets my brain thinking about possibilities. For many years I was convinced I'd write a book, and the dream sort of faded off, I lost faith that I could do it, and well, I overthink 24/7 in general....
But with re-reading these favorites, writing as much as I have on Hive over the years, getting marginally smarter and wiser as I get older here, the task of writing a fantasy series isn't quite as farfetched in my mind.
No matter what happens regarding this dream book of mine, it's been fun brainstorming. In the meantime I'll just enjoy blogging and reading and see where life takes me!
On to the games and tunes!

Tim McGraw - Live Like You Were Dying (Official Music Video) - COUNTRY MUSIC?!?! HA, I was feeling nostalgic one night ok.... This song slaps. Brings back roughly a billion memories.

yxngxr1 - Cluedo (prod. Marcus Wilter) - This guy is one of the more unique rappers I've ever heard. A sing-song, yet monotone flow. Fun stuff.

City - Hollywood Undead - Hollywood Undead might be one of the more underappreciated groups ever. I almost forgot about them and how big they were once upon a time. Their influence on the rock/rap/emo genre that has grown in a big way in the past 10-15 years is massive.
My random video of the day is a fun CaseOh video. He plays 'POOP KILLER' which is about as absurdly comical as it sounds. CaseOh himself is a character and voice acts in the game. Too funny. Listening to/watching CaseOh while playing chess is super chill!
I'm starving, time for some dinner.
When in doubt, play some chess.
I'll try not to re-share music I've already posted in this series but if I do this series over years, which I very well could, I'll likely forget if I shared a song over time.
