Frozen (2010) was nerve-wracking!

Probable spoilers.

It's been seriously freezing in my neck of the woods. We are still smack dab in the middle of winter and so a movie like 'Frozen' is definitely a little scarier during this season. When I'm out and about walking in the cold, I often think how awful it would be to be stuck out in the cold with no proper shelter. What would be worse, to freeze to death or burn to death? Slow hypothermia or being stranded in a desert? Always terrifying questions. Besides the obvious morbidness of the question, I think the fact that the very words hot and cold are literally like the poster child of the word 'opposite', answering that question becomes even harder. It's not like asking would you rather get bit by a poisonous snake or get attacked by a shark or something. The snake-shark scenario is a tough question too but the hot and cold death just both seem like agony on a whole different level. The characters of 'Frozen' even contemplate some would rather scenarios like this in the movie which was interestingly spooky.

I've only been snowboarding once on an actual mountain. I don't recall using a lift or not. The movie 'Frozen' took this fun activity and turned it upside down. Three friends stuck on a lift, dangling in the freezing winter air, utterly stranded. I do very much appreciate the simplicity of this film, and it does feel realistic in terms of their challenges faced and how they handle each circumstance. I do believe their timing of certain decisions they made to be a bit strange but overall 'Frozen' did feel pretty realistic.

While I did enjoy the film for the most part, I did feel underwhelmed a bit when it was all done. The length of the movie felt short and they could have done more with this pretty scary scenario they created. But still, there was a lot of suspense and cringeworthy (in an entertaining way) moments that definitely made me uncomfortable.

I think getting frostbite is one of my biggest fears. I would panic SO BAD if a finger were just slowly dying essentially. Extreme pain followed by the eerie embrace of numbness, the very thought freaks me out big time. A very part of yourself dying and you unable to do anything about it, is a truly horrifying thought.

This was not one of the better films I've seen recently, but it is unique and creepy in its own way. Definitely watchable. Surely suggest watching during winter or if you're a skier/snowboarder for extra scary feels.

I'll give 'Frozen' a 7.4/10

In Movies like this, you feel as though you were in it. It's suspense filled yet still somewhat predictable, but overall, they have a great way of stimulating our minds and keeping our eyes wide open.

Now I'm thinking if this film is anything like the cartoon, 'frozen.' Have you seen that? Is it?

I've actually never seen this film until now. I'll check it out when I have the time.
