Well it's been a pretty insane couple of days. I did manage to finish 'Inheritance' and it was pretty awesome. I've finally managed to find a minute to sorta calm down and write about this.

Learning about Fírnen was pretty awesome I actually fully forgot he was a male and that Saphira and him fell in love! Crazy wholesome. Of course it's also crazy that Arya also became a Rider.

One thing that was incredibly cheesy is how Eragon seemingly dismisses any proof of God. He entertains the possibility but not really fully or genuinely. Eh. Being able to do magic and ride a dragon is pretty powerful but to compare that to a God or that there's not something bigger, is well highly strange and illogical to me coming from Eragon. But that's a whole other rant LOL.

Eragon's decision to leave does make sense and man it was heavy. Not as heavy as when I first read it years ago, but still substantially intense. Ugh. Surprisingly I was moved by Eragon letting Sloan see his child and granddaughter. That was maybe my favorite part of this ending.

But yes, it was rather cool that they had one last mini travel throughout Alagaësia. That's probably my favorite part overall. After all they went through in these four books racing out of Carvahall and then traveling the lands, battling in the cities, to be able to journey across it all after everything was just so beautiful and satisfying. Those moments really pleasantly tap into the imagination. It makes me really feel transported and it's awesome.

Having the Dwarves and Urgals able to be Riders is so brilliant and exciting. I wonder if those riders and even Fírnen and Arya will be in 'Murtagh'!!! That idea crossed my mind as I was reading. Also, the idea of having Eragon and Saphira train the Riders far away is pretty cool. Will make the process of being Rider more special in general.

Maybe that's why this felt slightly less sad to finish the series. Slightly. LOL. I've been rather beaten by life since the last read and also knowing there's more content to read makes me less sad. But I'll never forget how it felt to finish this series either time.

But yes. This ending was still 10/10 for sure. The area that everyone met in Alagaësia to be sent off was really just so cool. Near Hedarth. I forgot that a number of elves will join Eragon and Saphira!

In general the fact that there's a map makes this world all the more alive and cool.

Leaving the lands, exploring a place unseen on this map I looked at throughout the whole series was just sooooo interesting.

Eragon, Saphira, Roran, Arya and Orik are some top notch characters.

What an incredible story.

On to 'The Fork, the Witch, and the Worm'!
