I must give a second warning this post features super mega spoilers and so if anyone wants to actually read this series one day STOP NOW.

Yeah uh, so to actually summarize or give my thoughts on these epic chapters in entirety would perhaps take a long long time. I'll try my best of course, but without maybe writing CRAZY long.

These chapters may indeed be the most important chapters in the entire series. I actually thought Eragon learned about Brom being his dad in Inheritance! Also, in general I didn't realize that Eragon and Saphira ever successfully reached Ellesméra. I don't know why I just thought that Oromis and Glaedr informed them a different way.

Learning about Eragon's past is intense for sure. I feel for Eragon big time. His parents are wicked tough for sure and they're both really complex legends in every way. I find it interesting how much The Inheritance Cycle sort of focuses on nature vs nurture ideas. Having a chapter literally called 'Genealogy' in a fantasy book feels very unique. Then how it involves the 'true name' idea it's pretty interesting. i find it clever and creative. Both genes and environmental circumstances feel equally important and neither aspects should be ignored.

Then you consider the how Elves, Urgals, Dwarves and Humans and Dragons all interact is super interesting and can be contemplated on a lot. I feel as these groups act like they're super different but really they aren't that different. Considering how magic being banned is brought up in the past, how the Riders eventually want to bring all these people together as one, the mysteriousness of Angela and whatnot.... Hmmmmm. This world is so interesting.

My own family life growing up was wildly confusing. So I feel for Eragon. Interestingly I've done some pretty intense deep dives into my own genetics and yeah, I found some brutal stuff about me that was pretty disappointing and hard to take. Rough. I love how his mother found a way to change her true name though. This is some deep stuff.

Listening to Brom speak to Eragon as a dad was sooo nice.

Then considering Murtagh and his life, I mean wow! I can't wait to finally read Murtagh man. He seems really really interesting

Re-learning about the Eldunarí was also good fun. Dragons are so wildly magical it's so cool. Just the epitome of magic and power.

Also on another note, as I read these books again, I can't help but wonder why Galbatorix doesn't just take Eragon and Saphira straight up if they're so powerful. Perhaps he still doesn't want straight up unwilling Riders and whatnot idk. Something to think about or something I'll probably learn more about as I keep reading. There's probably another detail I'm overlooking.

These are deep pretty thought provoking chapters. It's wild to learn about all these magical ideas. How dragons can live so long, elves too of course. Also thinking about today's day and age and how technology is sorta allowing us to literally do magic. I mean every day it feels like this world is headed towards a wilder and more unrecognizable place. I keep saying, once AI, videos games, VR, 3-D printing, who knows what else, all come together into some wild machine I mean who knows what we'll be dealing with in life at that point.

Anyway, can't wait to keep pushing. These books are so good.
