"Brisingr" - Chapters 29-32 - My Thoughts

MANY Spoilers!

Chapters read:

  • A Forest of Stone
  • The Laughing Dead
  • Blood on the Rocks
  • A Matter of Perspective

Welp, it's been awhile since I read a few chapters of Brisingr. Pretty dumb of me honestly. It's an odd mix of procrastination and like, a weird desire to preserve the greatness of this series. Finishing a tremendous series like this feels so oddly depressing. Reminds me just how mortal I am HA. But that's also why books are great too. Reminds me that everything is temporary and to be grateful. Can't just live in the middle here forever, gotta see it through.

Regarding the series and these chapters, these were pretty lovely in every way I'd say. The dwarves are simply so relatable in my opinion. I can't put my finger on it really. They're so passionate and prideful, funny and tough. Their lifestyle I find to be so chill and simple in a good way. The forest of stone was so intriguing.

'The Laughing Dead' was such a rugged intense scene man, so wild!! Roran is such a tough dude.

In 'Blood on the Rocks' I found it so wild to re-experience the details that I forgot about. The whole battle I essentially didn't remember. When Eragon yelled and the tunnel was damaged by his very voice, that was so cool! Eragon is leveling up big time.

'A Matter of Perspective' was such a wonderful chapter. Saphira is so funny and just so confident, it's really fun to get into how she sort of thinks as a dragon. She is just consistently awesome. Also, I totally forgot that the elves made a pretend version of Eragon, essentially a hologram. It's not a super important detail, but it's so wild I forgot. I always feel as if I have a strong memory for this type of thing.

Ugh, it's so unbelievable how good these books are. I think I'm gonna push through and read the rest sooner than later and stop procrastinating. I keep forgetting there's new content as well!! Wild! I'm so excited!!
