Things i have noticed after my first 4 months of practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu: 1. Cardio

Things i have noticed after my first 4 months of practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu:

  1. Cardiovascular fitness has increased significantly, i was already reasonably fit, however BJJ has taken me to the next level.
  2. BJJ has helped me stay calm when riding, especially when pushing really hard and climbing up a long steep hill - i find that my breathing is way more stable and i keep calmer
  3. I find that my head space and thought processes during every day life is a lot clearer.
  4. I catch myself being more calm and relaxed throughout the day
  5. I feel that i am more resilient during potentially stressful situations
  6. Acquired an inner confidence / better self esteem (hard to explain)
  7. Quickly realized how far humans can actually be pushed-believe me there are times when my body and mind just want to completely give up and shut down, but if you can push through and realize that you wont die your mind starts to shift
