How to Draw Charmander Pokemon 4 - Hair (Youtube timelapse + Step by Step guide)

This is how I drew charmader using a pen, a fine pen.

This is the youtube video that shows the timelapse process of how the drawing was created. It was drawn with pen so it can be erased. Mistakes do happen sometime, and I just have to deal with the mistakes from time to time. It does not look exactly like the reference, however its the journey that counts here...

Process

most of the times it is easiest to start with the head. That is because if you get the head right, then the rest is not really a problem. However, if you done with the other parts and then mess up the head then the drawing would look weird.

Once the Shape is there, then I can start filling in the eyes, getting the eyes right is also very important so it will take time. I do find it difficult with drawing the eyes with differnt tones using a pen.

After the head is complete, then it is the hands and the body. Over time you can kind of estimate how long the body is in terms of head lengths, and then draw the body. I did not get the proportions right this time, but I also cant erase so I just have to continue...

The drawing does look a bit weird at this point, but that is the process of practice.

Your drawing may not look exactly like what you wanted, but that is okay it is all part of the journey...
