A Recount of my Journey so far// Newbies task 7

Hello hello people, I'm honored to stand a chance of being a part of this amazing program anchored by the hive Learners, this is sadly the last task of the initiative that is the 7th task, the reason I said "sadly" is because this initiative has brought a lot of help and knowledge and I really enjoyed every bit, at the course of it I gained a few knowledges that I wouldn't have gotten else were and its a program that I would wish to have more and more.

Alright, very briefly i'w be going through the questions for this task and i'w try my possible best to answer all question intelligently and I also would try my possible best not to cry 😭 so much because I'm already missing the initiative.

What do you think of the Newbies Initiative, and how has it helped your Hive journey?

In response to the first question of this task, first of all I refer to the Newbies Initiative as the explore-guide of the hive blogchain, it means for anyone who wants to explore the ecosystem of hive, the best explore-guide he needs us the Newbies Initiative, I would say it's a program designed to guide newbies on their left and right in the blogchain and also to inform newbies of what hive really is, so if you're a newbie and you're reading this post, you're in the right place and inorder for you to enjoy you explore on the blogchain this will be the right place to start, to be honest I'm a product of this program and I now how it has been of help to me.

  • At the course of the initiative I learnt that one can earn on hive via different means not just by making post.

  • I learnt the use of some tipping tokens and how to convert them using swap.hive, I also understood the difference between hive and swap.hive.

  • I got enlightened on blogchain games and their in-game currencies.
And many more things that I may not put down here.

How have the tasks given been helpful?

In response to the second question, the most helpful part of every task that was given at the course of the initiative is that I had to makey oen personal researchd to understand more on the task, and so it widen my knowledge on that theme but on a norms I wouldn't have just gone that far in learning more about the ecosystem.

What aspects of the Initiative do you believe we could enhance, and how?

Engagement: the initiative was aimed at engaging and tutoring the newbies about the ecosystem and of which I would say they did their best but on my opinion 👇👇

  • First of all in the discord meeting, I would have love the there will be more engagement not just tutorials in the sense that at least one member from every team will compulsorily answer questions and give their opinion, it will course the newbies to study hard before attending the meeting.
  • The other part of engagement that I would loved to be enhanced is competition between different teams, when we were admited into the initiative, we were separated into three teams, I was actually thinking that there would be a kind of competitive atmosphere that would cause newbies to study hard inorder to proparly represent their team.

What value do you think you can offer to the initiative?

At first when I saw this question I laughed, what else do I need to add, so I had to think outside the box and below are my ideas that can be of more value 👇👇

  • The initiative is aimed at helping newbies find their way on the blogchain and I would say that there are several ways of achieving it, check this out;
When we started the program, we were informed on the basics of hive, the Do's and Don't and other essential information, after which it would be important for every newbie to highlight his aspect in which he is more skilled on, it could be an excellent writing skill, or maybe photography, or even music, the idea is that as much as the newbie is educated on the basics of the blogchain, he also get enlightened on the area which he is more skilled on.
  • And also, newbies would love a challenging atmosphere inorder to boast there knowledge of the blogchain.

Remember the Newbies Initiative Task 1 where you were asked to set down your goals. Show us a recount of your goals and how far you have come through.

I remembered vividly how we were asked to set smart goals and I did, below is my recount and how far I've achieved them.

  • The first goal I set was in the aspect of improving my hive power and I aslo remember saying I would love to power up to 500hp, but as at then I was kind of ignorant of the choice of hive power I wanted to power up even though I worked hard I was able to reach up to 193.236 hive power, I also realized that it takes more than I expected to power up and I've decided to double up the engagement so as to gain more hive power.

  • As regarding my followers, I started a journey of following hiveans with quality content and I was able to follow up to 228 even though not all followed me back, I also.remember saying I wouldn't just keep them as mere followers but I would also frequently support their context and encourage their hard work, as a result of that I began a thorough engagement to follow up and support their posts.

  • As regarding engagement and commitment, I ensured that I posted nlot less than 7times a week even though sometimes I was down and could not meet up but was able to go far in my engagement andas for consistency, it's something I would always carry in mind, it's my way of reminding others of me, by consistently visiting their blogs and making nice comments, and also consistently making quality posts.

It really is sad we’re at an end already man. This initiative was very educative . Glad to see you learnt so much and I agree with your suggestions. Engagement wasn’t really on the high and maybe competition amongst the teams would have helped.

I really like your idea about having teams compete amongst each other. I think that might be very productive if the rules are set properly. It might even encourage the teams to work harder if we had weekly stats of the development of different teams and a winning team that gets something cool. 😃

Now you have one more follower, so you are one step closer to improving that aspect as well. ♥️

Wow... Not less than 7 posts a week was really massive.
Congratulations on making it to the top bro... It really wasn't easy doing the programme but then thank God we are finally over with it and then we are leaving better than we came
