Next Target on Hive!

Introduction

Before writing this post, I looked at the contents in the last 24 hours of the community of LeoFinance. It is unbelievable the number of posts without attention or some love.

When I checked those tiny accounts without support, I found a noticeable pattern. They remove almost immediately what they earn here on the platform.

A problem is people see Hive only as a way to generate an income. When you stake your Hive, you help the platform to control its supply and to keep value.

Some writers wrote delightful pieces about finance, and I followed two new authors today.

My short-term goals

I will apply the same philosophy when I play a game where is difficult to reach the next target. When you set a target in your mind, you need to commit yourself to reaching it.

I give an example of the MIR 4 where I am level 90, at this level to get to 91 and beyond. You need weeks of experience points just to reach 91 as an example.

In the short term, I want to reach

  • 20000 Hive
  • 2000 HBD staked

I know is not the biggest amount, but something meaningful, especially since we are in a bear market.

Getting information about crypto on Hive

If you are just reading about Hive content, you will miss the boat of what is happening in the crypto sphere. People mostly talk about the Splinterland game which I found boring.

When is the power day, you feel the vibe and energy about this ecosystem!

A long-term view of Hive

I still believe Hive will only remain a niche in the crypto sphere without ever reaching mainstream adoption. The barrier of entry is too high for a newcomer to make a presence on the platform. Most people leave the boat to never return.

To have success on this platform, you need to network and do curation on other people's posts. Without this effort, you will never make it, period!

You need to dedicate time and effort to getting support.

Right now, I am expanding on other projects and I will never bet 100% of my basket of crypto to Hive. It is too risky from my point of view.

Conclusion

Like a game reaching the next level, I envision myself reaching 2000 HBD with 20000 Hive. I am not the bigger fish in this ecosystem, but it does not matter because each person has a different story.

You always need not to compare yourself to others. When you do that, you put stress on your shoulders instead of focusing on your success!

Have a wonderful and beautiful Saturday

Sincerely,
Cheasatochi

Very true "The barrier to entry is too high for a newcomer to make a presence on the platform."

And it is good advice to diversify your investments and open up to other scenarios, I do it whenever I can.

The problem is always the same... Most people would like a success without an effort... I agree that we have some great undervalued authors on HIVE, but also, we have those creating posts to "please" big curators and I found that content as complete trash...

Selling your own opinion just to get an upvote has nothing to do with crypto, decentralized society, freedom... Unfortunately, those posts are upvoted by those big curators and that gives a false image of real values... In the end, those few who are creating great content got discouraged and left, while we have been left with shitposts that praise one, centralized whale account...

Good luck with your goals and continue sharing your views!

We cannot apply decentralization to everything because it does not make sense for every use case. The only real decentralization in the entire crypto space is BTC where nobody can steal your money until you hold the private key under your control.

I have been on Steem since almost 2016, then Hive, and so far I have not seen any progression in 7 years for mainstream penetration.

Anyway, my point I still like Hive and I plan to keep growing my account.

Agree with you on that... I'm not here that long, but I am enough long to notice that too... IMO, we have made some bad decisions on HIVE and that's limiting our growth, but on the other side, HIVE doesn't need some huge expansion that we see token movements up... It will never be a new Facebook, but it can be (and it is) a good decentralized platform where you can share your opinions...

In the end, HIVE is changing and evolving with every next hard fork and who knows where it will go... It's on us to create a good direction and to influence with our stakes...

Have a great Sunday!
