Late in the Game of Terracore

The beginning of my journey in Terracore

It took me a while before I decided to join this idle game because of the initial investment you need to make. I know is not a big amount of money, but you need to spend just to have the privilege to be in the game.

The cost is around 30 Hive!

So far you see me in the picture looking to grow on the planet. I want to go with the free route without adding Stash.

Like every game, I am in the learning curve process, and is not always easy to understand right from the bat.

Stash or not Stash

My first aim in the game is to mine the Stash token for boosting my character! I discovered it will not be easy and the route might take a while before I see something concrete.

What I have learned prior to writing this blog post!

You can stake your Stash Size and in return, you can expect to have more Stash, dodge, and luck. Maybe I might increase what I receive there to give me a little boost.

It is hard to know where to focus your attention when you just starting. I feel like a redfish in a small aquarium!

Damage versus defense

To make fun of the game, it is to fight against other players. In the beginning, it will not be my main focus but is something I intend to do.

You need to get Scrap for boosting your stats in this section of the game. In my current stage, I don't receive much in Stash.

Rome was not built in one day so I need to have patience to receive more Stash as I grow in the game. I love when a game is not so easy because is an important element if I am going to stick or not.

I have stopped to play many games in my life for different reasons. But I know it needs to be challenging to keep my interest high.

Another important factor the game needs to be fun as well. Otherwise, you can get bored easily if the game just sucks!

Play to earn concept

I believe almost 95% of the games in the crypto sphere that brings the element of play to earn have failed in their mission. Most of the developers build a smart contract with millions of tokens, then tell the players to incentive them to play with a juicy APY.

Most of the time, players play and dumb the tokens to make a small profit of their time. In the end, the price goes downward continually without ever touching the bottom.

Selling pressure without building a utility for the token is the death of the game.

Something I noticed in the smart contract of Terracore. It is the insane amount of tokens the game might release in the economy in the near future.

This is a guarantee and the price of Scrap might go in the red direction. I don't know if they burn the token when you upgrade your favor, engineering, damage, and defense.

It might be a wise decision to keep the price stable...

What to expect of Terracore

I will play because I have committed myself to pay for the entrance fees but is not guaranteed I will stick to it.

Time will educate me on the ins and out the game. The most important is to have fun building a strong character in the game.

Maybe receiving a lot of Scraps and make some profit from my time in Terracore

Have a wonderful and blossoming Saturday

I didn't try this one due to the initial entry price. However, I tried GolemOverlords, also a similar game, an idle miner and battle game. I entered early and sold my earnings soon to pay for my entry easily. Then the token tanked and now it is basically a boring game, for those who like to mine idly. So it won't keep many players long term in my opinion.

Splinterlands was one of the few games on Hive that did well as a play-to-earn model. I tried it but did not get very far personally in that one either.

The most important is to have fun in the first place. I don't expect anything about Terracore but at least I will give it a try.

Splinterlands is not a game I enjoy because you need to constantly purchase cards to remain on the top.

Well said, that's a good point about Splinterlands.

You can ask questions there if you have about the game and such... All Scrap used in upgrading your stats are burned. Lately, they have increased the mining rate of scrap which is why you'll see that the number of tokens minted increased.

About the price of Scrap, you don't really need to look at it, or even good is that the lower the price, the cheaper you'll have to pay (if you decide to buy in the market) in order to upgrade your stats. Moreover, the common crates, can be bought with $5 worth of Scrap not below 100 scrap. In this case, you'll find yourself paying a lot of scraps if the price goes lower than 5 dollars for 100 scrap.

Higher rarity Crates can only be found within Boss Fights. 😊 These crates has Item NFTs with stats, if you are lucky you'll really get a pretty great stats. The market for Terracore NFTs also adds another source of income for you in game.

Another thing, that I like about terracore is that the Entry Fee we pay goes back to us, players, when we post about the game. You see, the Hive we pay are converted into Hive Power and delegated to @terraboost which would upvote posts with the tag #terracore. You play the game, earn from it, you create blog post about the game, and also earn from it.

You can ask more from others on the discord server. I wish you good luck! 💙

I am happy to learn when you are upgrading your components, you burn the tokens.
