Beautiful day today. Spotted a Kestrel hanging out on a tree. Kona dog had her interests elsewhere. A kestrel is a type of small hawk. One thing they do thats notable is hover about 20 meters above the ground then swoop down to grab their dinner. Other hawks are more suited for capturing prey while in flight. I took these with my 250mm canon zoom lens. The kestrel was a bit far, but I managed to get a couple shots worth sharing.
