Good News On The Step Van! Changes On How I Am Doing Inside Walls!

Well, figured out some stuff on the Step Van. From what I figured out the head gaskets are not blown from what I can tell, still checking that out to be sure. I found the thermostat was messed up and caused the problems I had. It blew out the heater core and was causing the burping of water from the radiator.

I pulled the radiator out and cleaned it and ran some water through the block of the step van while everything was off of it and both looked good. I replaced the thermostat and the water pump and all the radiator and the heater hoses. The alternator was kinda grinding when I turned it by hand so decided to change it out, doing lots of preventive things right now, it is better safe than sorry right now.

Being a 93 the parts are not too bad on price, thanks to inflation they are a little higher right now though. Did a complete tune-up also while I was at it. So now I am going to do some work to the inside, thinking about it and I am going to make some changes there and run 1x4's across the metal struts in the step van and attach my walls to the 1x4's will be better I think and can also add 3/4 inch of insulation then, build a bed frame and do some small stuff to make it comfortable but still keeping it simple. I will update you when I get some more done and as I go along. Been a long couple of weeks and I have been fighting the rain we have had coming in for the last few days. I know we need the rain it just slows down the process. LOL! I will be getting it all done so I can Make the Block Party 2 in September. Just do not expect all the crazy things people are doing to many of the things they convert, Simple is much easier to maintain and fix. I want to spend time exploring and making videos and taking pictures not working on the step van. LOL!
