Hi guy! Today I will be sharing my drawing of a man on suit and my first experience working with pencil on a glossy paper. It all happened some months ago when I was contacted by a friend to do a portrait for his friend's birthday. I didn't want to use the regular paper type I normally use for my portraits, so I contacted someone from a far away bookshop to waybill a particular kind of paper I was advised by an artist friend to buy.

Few days after my demands, the papers arrived my location and I went to pick them up. When I got home and opened it I noticed they all had glossy surfaces and I didn't bother to ask questions, I hurriedly started working on the portrait using one of the papers cause the submission date was very close.

In summary, I tried all my pencils on the paper and none were visible so I decided to use charcoal powder and painting brush to work on it, that was when I got the image but still wasn't presentable, so I pleaded with the client for more time, which was later granted after much pleading. After that experience, I stopped using pencils on glossy papers cause it always end up being messy.

The process
