Titans WIN 32-27 over the Texans!
WOW!!! The Titans beat the Texans in an absolute MOVIE of a game. Back and forth, sloppy at times but man the Titans really competed well!
The curious case of Will Levis continues. The second year quarterback is slowly turning into a solid QB... need to see more consistency and his pocket presence is truly terrible at times still, but he has improved in a lot of other areas. Will seems better educated on the offensive scheme Brian Callahan wants to run. He seems to be handling the speed of the game a lot better. He is just slowly maturing and I mean, I am definitely pleasantly surprised.
The way I see it, based on Levis improving and getting a legit no questions asked victory over the huge division rival Texans, who have a winning record and are on track to head to the playoffs for a second consecutive season, Levis has officially made it into Titans lore and is a VALID Titan. Proud of the guy for sure. He has a lot to prove in the big picture, but as a Titans fan, he barely makes the cut as a legit Titans player worth remembering. It's just a single win, yes. But in life, who knows how many games we get to see. This win helps improve the Titans all-time record over the Texans to 24-21!! Loooooove to see it.
Of course there's a whole team on the field and earning the win was not all Levis of course. Tony Pollard is truly Mr. Reliable. ANOTHER 100 yard rushing game and rushing touchdown, along with a CLEAN five yards per carry. Calvin Ridley is showing he was worth the money by nearly having 100 yards receiving. NWI needs a statue built in Nashville LOL, he caught yet ANOTHER touchdown raising his career high to six in 2024. He is having a career year. Love to see how his career is progressing. Chig also reminded everyone how explosive he can be with a thrilling seventy yard catch and run touchdown.
The Titans special teams is absolutely pure trash still and it blows my mind how they can be this bad. It's actually alarming.
As a whole, this 2024 season has been forgettable, and it's highly highly unlikely the Titans make any real playoff push with a 3-8 record. But hey, the Titans have FOUR more divisional games so I mean there's an outside chance. I at the very least would love to see the Titans win a couple more games and try to create as much chaos as possible to finish out the season. Especially in the AFC South.
Levis has looked good. But there's six games left still and so let's see if he can convince everyone once and for all that we should stick with him. If he can continue to sharpen his game and improve, the Titans have acquired a few extra draft picks so maybe the Titans have a bit of hope.
Things are entirely up in the air and if the season were to end today, I still wouldn't be sold on Levis quite yet. His backup QB still has two wins while Levis just won his first of 2024.
Overall, compared to a few weeks ago, I am thrilled with the momentum the Titans have at this point in time.
Beating the Texans just feels amazing. IN Houston too!
