The Titans continue to be aggressive in the NFL Draft! This is their second trade up! After trading into the first round for Keldric Faulk, they lost their second round pick. Then they called the Bears and moved up nine spots back into the second round to snag Anthony Hill Jr.!

While I feel as though the Titans weren't desperate for a traditional inside linebacker, they were a bit thin there. There was certainly room for improvement in that position group. Robert Saleh of course prioritizes defense and having good leadership at linebacker.

The Titans currently have respectable linebackers in Cedric Gray, who showed massive improvement in 2025-26, and Cody Barton who is smart and a good leader but overall a bit average. Anthony Hill Jr. can hopefully be a more athletic, much younger version of Cody Barton. Barton seems like a good team player, I imagine he'll definitely be willing to help mentor Hill Jr. Hill Jr. wore the green dot in college, and Cody Barton wore the green dot last year for the Titans. It will be interesting how it all plays out.

Hill Jr. just seems like a really strong selection and I like the defense being strengthened. You can never have enough defense in my opinion.

ESPN had Hill Jr. ranked as the 35th best prospect overall in this year's Draft so according to them, getting him at #60 is a solid value selection. Hill Jr. is 6'2" 238 pounds. He ran a strong 4.51 40-yard dash. He was a 2x Second-Team All-American and a 2x First-Team All-SEC in 2024 and 2025. His season was cut mildly short in 2025 so receiving those accolades last year is pretty impressive.

Pretty good selection, welcome to the squad Anthony!
