Well, yes I write about the Titans very long after they last played. BUT in a way, it is sort of a decent idea since, after I finish this post, I'll be writing about the Bucs game. So this post can serve as a quick refresher from when the Titans last played.

Last Thursday Night the Titans played against the Steelers and while they kept it close, they ended up losing a very close game, 20-16.

It was quarterback Will Levis's second career start in his rookie season. While it was not a spectacular performance like his rookie debut just days earlier, he did not play horribly. He looked simply like a decent young rookie with promise. He managed the game for the most part but displayed his arm strength from time to time. He didn't toss a single touchdown pass but gave the team a chance to win at the very end of the game with a nice drive but actually ended up throwing a pick.

I like what I see from Levis overall though. He looks as ready as a rookie can look, to start. No glaring, major red flags. He played his first two pro regular season games in less than a week, and hopefully this can serve him well. Thrown in the fire, lots of football very quick and now he's had this mini bye week to hopefully recover and improve entering these last nine games.

The defense played ok enough. They were pretty un-clutch at the end of the game but overall they only gave up 20 points, which isn't the worst thing ever.

The Steelers are showing a grittiness and ability to win this season and the Titans were still in the middle of a lot of changes, and the game was in Pittsburgh so I just chalk this game up to a tough loss for now.

The Titans sit at 3-5 but have shown fight and they have a new young QB with a team with a lot of the same players and coaching staff that was in Tennessee in 2021 when the team was the AFC #1 seed.

It does stink to see the Titans continue to lose, but at least they are competitive and Will Levis at least makes the team a bit more interesting.
