Sixers look to bounce back tonight vs Raptors after losing two straight

Well the last time I wrote about the Sixers they were 4-1. Now they're 5-3 and while they have dropped a few here I'm still pretty optimistic about their season.

The Sixers managed to blowout the Nets on Sunday which was no big surprise.

Tuesday was their first loss in their two game losing streak. It came against the Bulls who made a pretty massive comeback late in the game to get the win. That was rough. Jared McCain made his return which was good to see even though it wasn't anything too special. He was scoreless in his 15 minutes of action but it was still nice to see him back.

The following day the Sixers dropped one in Cleveland thanks in large part to Donovan Mitchell dropping an absurd 46 points.

So yeah it wasn't the greatest few games lately but its understandable. This is one of the more unique rosters the Sixers have had in recent seasons. V.J. Edgecombe is looking solid but he's still a rookie so I won't be shocked to see some more ups and downs from him for awhile. The Sixers are adjusting to Embiid's more limited presence and Jared McCain is still finding his way back into whatever his role will be with Edgecombe and Grimes in the picture to a larger degree. I think the squad will find their way though. Of course the team is still wondering when Paul George will return and how effective he will be once he does.

After a few nights off the team is back in Philadelphia tonight to face the 5-4 Toronto Raptors. The Sixers might have trouble matching up with forwards Brandon Ingram and Scottie Barnes but I think the Raptors will have their own problems matching up with the depth of guards the Sixers have. Should be an interesting test!

I originally planned on and looked forward to posting the latest part of my 'The Machine' NBA2K25 series but I'm currently stuck on slow speed internet connection on my phone and trying to get my video to public has been really slow and annoying. Really frustrating. So yeah, I'm sure that it will be up by my next Sixers or sports post. Ugh. So lame but it is what it is. I do just wanna at least share my thoughts on the Sixers before this game starts. So yeah. Again, go Sixers! Plenty of 'The Machine' content to be shared in the future.
