Phillies got a close victory last night, and it wasn't easy. The Phillies' bats were very quiet through six innings, and it looked like it might be classic depressing 1-0 loss until the seventh when the team finally woke up. Max Kepler showed up big time and hit a huge two RBI double late to take the lead! Stott added a much needed insurance run to make it 3-1. The Rangers tacked on one more run of their own in the eighth so as I said it was indeed much needed by Stott. Kepler and Stott are bottom of the order guys so that was great to see. Even newcomer Harrison Bader scored and contributed so this was just nice to see in general. THEN another new player in Jhoan Durán got his third save as a Phillie to secure the victory. SOOOO nice!

Just an overall great team victory. Luzardo has now won three straight games! Happy he's turning it around!

Today Zack Wheeler aims to get the sweep and his tenth victory of the year. Two pretty significant achievements in general! The Phillies lead in the NL East is now at four and a half games! The Rangers are taking pretty key losses to the Phils here lately and so I doubt they will be an easy out this afternoon.

Let's gooooo.
