Phillies win on Opening Day! They're back at it again today vs the Nationals

Thursday's Opening Day was absolutely exceptional! It had everything I really could have asked for from a fun and of course winning perspective. Zack Wheeler pitched well, Harper homered, Schwarber homered, the game went to extra innings and had late game heroics by Alec Bohm and J.T. Realmuto. Unbelievable!

I was left feeling so content and excited! It was so great to see a win that felt like it actually mattered even though it's one out of 162. The pure joy this left me with was just awesome. I am so lucky to get many more months of this team. Of course there will be likely times that they may frustrate me or something throughout this long season but I feel like 2025 will be another strong season for the Fightins! Many players are on one year deals or are on their final year of their contracts but it doesn't mean the Phillies won't be good going forward. Besides it's still March! I am far from worried about the future of this team. Besides, it's still truly night and day considering the state of the Titans and Sixers!

Today newcomer Jesus Luzardo, formerly of the Marlins makes his Phillies debut today on the mound. Should be interesting to see what he's got. I believe he's seeing action due to Ranger Suarez's injury. It was cool to see new left fielder Max Kepler play. The dude is a lot bigger than I originally remembered!

It should be another fun, relaxing game. Weather is once again immaculate. It's really amazing how peaceful this sport is to watch. With how stressful life gets, baseball really soothes and distracts my soul and mind. Let's hope the boys keep it rolling. Even though the Sixers are a mess they also play today which is cool!
