Phillies win huge series against Mets Sunday! Squad down in Texas tonight to face Astros + A.D. Hammer RTTS Part 68
Phillies beat the Mets with ease on Sunday! You love to see it, the Mets have been on the come up in recent years here and it's great to see the Phillies prove that they can best them. It's late June here, and this season isn't as young as it once was! Great to see the Phillies stay hot in the more middle portion of the season. Kyle Schwarber homered on Sunday and Edmundo Sosa showed up big time hitting a monstrous three-run homer himself. Jesús Luzardo looked much like his old self pitching nearly seven innings of scoreless baseball.
Indeed, after doing well against the Mets the Phillies are now 48 percent of the way through the season and are back on top of the NL East by 1.5 games as I write this! The Phillies face an American League force tonight in the Astros so, no time to get complacent here! Ranger Suárez is on the mound to face them, having him on the mound is a good way to start the series!
It won't be insanely hot out like it can be sometimes down in Houston, should stay in the low 80's which is definitely bearable. They also had a rest day so, the boys should be good to go!
A.D. enters his eighth year as a big leaguer! Still a lot of years left on his A's contract but hopefully he makes it back into the Phillies organization in a few years!
